Antenatal Screening Profile – ANC Profile Test
Antenatal tests are important tools for protecting the health of a pregnant woman and her child. Various tests are performed over the course of pregnancy to determine if the mother has any health conditions that may interfere with the normal development of the fetus or if the fetus has any health conditions that may affect the baby’s quality of life. These tests help to identify factors requiring special care.
When to do the ANC profile test?
This test is carried out during the first trimester of pregnancy and is used to assess the general health of a pregnant female, along with checking for infectious diseases like HIV, diabetes, thyroid and other genetically transferable diseases. The test also helps the doctor to ensure the health of the fetus by checking for the possibility of problems that might affect the fetus’s development and that might require special treatment.
